Lawyer Cliff Ombeta: ‘Sadaka Ni Pesa’ Claims Jealousy Behind Pastor Ezekiel’s Arrest

Pastor Ezekiel, according to Cliff Ombeta, was the target of preachers who resented his growth and offerings.

Ombeta, who joined Pastor Ezekiel’s legal team, stated that they would prove that their client was a victim of propaganda and was not responsible for any deaths in Shakahola or Mavueni.

Attorney Danstan Omari stated that Pastor Ezekiel’s arrest was the result of pure hatred from their client’s haters, comparing it to Jesus’ temptation by the devil.

Pastor Ezekiel Odero’s attorneys have vowed to prove to the world that their client is innocent of all charges brought by the State against him.

Pastor Ezekiel is innocent On Saturday, April 29, Cliff Ombeta, Danstan Omari, and Shadrack Wambui joined Jared Magolo in representing Pastor Ezekiel.

Ezekiel was arrested due to allegations of indoctrination and ties to mysterious deaths within his Mavueni Church, as well as a possible link between him and the controversial Paul Mackenzi.

Mackenzie is the prime suspect in the Shakahola deaths, in which over one hundred people perished under mysterious circumstances that have Kenyans and humans around the world in a state of shock.

Ombeta and Omari vowed to prove to the world that their client had nothing to do with the Shakahola killings when they visited Pastor Ezekiel’s Mavueni church on Sunday, April 30. They also accused the preacher’s rivals and haters of what they termed persecution by the State.

Propaganda against Pastor Ezekiel “We are here to demonstrate that the allegations against Ezekiel are lies. We wish to disprove rumors that graves exist here. Ombeta said as he traversed Ezekiel’s vast property where his megachurch is located, “There is no prison where people were incarcerated, forced to fast, and starved to death, and there is no morgue here.”

He stated that on Tuesday, May 2, when Ezekiel will be in court to learn his detention status, they will present evidence that the prosecution’s reasons for seeking an extension of Ezekiel’s detention were without merit.

“We wish to disprove the reasons for his detention by demonstrating that these events never occurred. People believe this land borders Shakahola Forest and contains a mortuary. We have his consent to confirm what transpired. You cannot alter the truth; it speaks for itself. They have written stories, but we want to show the world what is happening on the ground,” said an assured Ombeta.

15 deaths at the church of Pastor Ezekiel

Ombeta responded that it was a fact that 15 people died due to various circumstances, but that forced fasting was not one of them.

“It is a fact that 15 people died here, and their deaths are documented in OBs. People traveled great distances to get here, and some of them died even before seeing the pastor; their relatives buried them and filed reports. We have nothing to conceal. There is no allegation or complaint that they starved. Families are aware of their burial. They cannot claim that people died while fasting, repeated the eminent criminal defense attorney.

Ombeta made a sensational claim that his client was the target of envious preachers who were responsible for the allegations that led to his arrest.

He accused Pastor Ezekiel’s detractors of pure hatred and malice. But he was confident that the light would shine and the darkness would vanish.

Jealous pastors against pastor Ezekiel

“Yes, it is propaganda. It could be spread by anyone, in this case by jealous individuals. Examine this property. Even traditional churches have never had so many adherents. “Offertory is money, and if someone receives more than you, envy ensues; this is where it comes from,” Ombeta explained.

Omari echoed his sentiments, stating that Pastor Ezekiel was a target of his ministry’s and gospel’s detractors. And that God would fight for him and he would emerge stronger.

“We will make it available for all to see. Jealousy, hatred, and laziness have motivated some individuals to target Ezekiel. We wish to demonstrate that this is God’s domain.

Pastor Ezekiel’s courtroom return

“Religious conflict has existed for centuries. Ezekiel is being tested and fortified to spread the gospel. Just as Jesus was when he faced temptation because the gospel thrives when it is contested. This land is roughly 200 kilometers from Shakahola, according to Omari.

Ezekiel will return to court today, Tuesday, May 2. And the court will decide whether or not to grant the requesting officer the requested 30 days of extended detention.
