Ogolla’s family remembered him as a respected individual who worked hard and was admired by his colleagues. They also highlighted his strong work ethic and generous spirit.
Reports suggested that Ogolla’s father was left with numerous questions concerning the circumstances surrounding his son’s death.
President William Ruto, along with the Acting Chief of Defence Forces, their deputy, the Interior and Defence Cabinet Secretaries, the Attorney General, and other senior government officials, are anticipated to be present at the burial.
Although there are clear procedures in place for the funerals of military personnel, the president has the authority to decide how to handle this burial, as Ogolla is the first-ever Chief of Defence Forces to pass away while in office.
