DJ Fatxo Speaks on Geoffrey Mwathi’s Death.
Lawrence Njuguna, better known as DJ Fatxo in the local entertainment scene, has broken his silence regarding the death of Geoffrey Mwathi, 23, who reportedly fell to his death in his apartment.
DJ Fatxo stated outside the Redwood Apartments near Safari Park Estate on Friday, as detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) combed the crime scene for new evidence in response to a directive from Interior CS Kithure Kindiki, that he desires the incident’s truth to be revealed.
“Mimi tunataka tujue ukweli sisi wote pamoja,” he said.
Similarly, he was confident that he would be declared innocent once detectives complete their investigations.

“We believe that justice will prevail and management will be held accountable,” he told reporters but declined to elaborate further.
CCTV footage captured Mwathi, an interior designer, falling from the apartment window of DJ Fatxo’s 10th-floor home on February 22.
According to reports, Mwathi spent the night partying with the popular Mugithi singer, along with his cousin and driver, at DJ Faxto’s residence.
Mwathi, DJ Fatxo, and three unidentified women can be seen returning to DJ Fatxo’s apartment around 3 a.m., as captured on surveillance footage from the Redwood apartments.
According to the police report, another man, a DJ relative, arrived at the apartment in a separate vehicle.
The DJ was observed leaving his apartment with three women at approximately 4:00 a.m., while Mwathi remained inside with two other men.
