CS Linturi’s Tearful Parliament Revelation: ‘I Was Sued to Raise Another’s Kids’
Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mithika Linturi expressed on Thursday, May 9, that his troubles were the result of one individual he had a previous relationship with.
Speaking before a National Assembly committee reviewing his impeachment motion, Linturi stated that this person subjected him to numerous legal battles.
He recounted a moment when he needed consolation after becoming emotional about being sued for child support for kids that weren’t his.
“All these legal issues revolve around an individual I used to be friends with, but due to unforeseen reasons, our relationship ended. Subsequently, she decided to file numerous lawsuits that I had to contest,” Linturi informed the Committee.
He described the cases as a witch hunt, saying they nearly caused him a mental breakdown.
“There’s case number 74 where I was sued to support children that are not biologically mine,” he revealed emotionally.
Once his lawyer soothed him, Linturi noted that the Committee’s questioning resurfaced difficult memories he had been trying to move past.

Linturi revealed that after a difficult breakup, he spent nearly six years defending himself against numerous legal battles that followed.
He claimed that his former partner was backed by the previous administration to undermine him.
He attributed this to his support of a presidential candidate who wasn’t the government’s preference at the time.
Linturi stated that the prior administration exploited his conflict with his former partner to present various lawsuits against him.
This occurred because he resisted pressure to change his political stance.
“The administration capitalized on the situation, resulting in my intense persecution,” Linturi explained.
He also mentioned that the administration interfered with his unrelated business endeavors.
Linturi endorsed President William Ruto’s campaign and was subsequently named Agriculture CS after the August 2022 election.
