Othello Holmes, 27, faced allegations of misconduct for inserting his genitals into food at his workplace. Additionally, court documents disclosed that he had child pornography on his phone.
The inquiry began with allegations of attempted indecent assault and intensified when Holmes, employed as a cook at Kulture restaurant in downtown Houston, was reported by a manager for his inappropriate behavior caught on video.
Constable Alan Rosen voiced deep worry about the troubling incident, noting the restaurant was promptly shut down once Holmes’ actions were found.
The things that I have seen and the behavior that I have seen — it is very disturbing,” Constable Alan Rosen said. “When the restaurant found out about this behavior going on, they immediately shut down, to everybody, they had not served a single patron of the restaurant.”

Kulture restaurant promptly suspended its operations and worked with authorities to aid in Holmes’ arrest.
A later review of Holmes’ phone revealed more than 100 videos and images of child pornography, resulting in further charges.
Constable Rosen criticized Holmes’ behavior, calling him a predator and expressing concern about possible risks to children. Additionally, videos showing Holmes behaving inappropriately around a child were found on his phone.
Holmes, who lives with his mother, who is an amputee, and is currently without a job, went to court on April 25, where his bail was set at $100,000 per charge.
