Protesters in Baringo County carried a police officer high on their shoulders after he rescued some of them as they were going to air their grievances on the streets.
Why was Baringo cop carried by protesters?
The crowd seemed like they were celebrating the middle-aged officer who had them under his control.
According to a demonstrate identified as Sha Song, he managed to quell tension and ensured that people were calmly waiting for the governor to arrive.
“Baringo Gen Z celebrates this officer for giving them security and lift in the police lorry” Chamgei,” said Alred Koech-Sergent on Facebook.
“Way to go,” he added.

Kenyan protesters beat up police officer
In another story, some protesters were recorded assaulting an armed police officer during demonstrations at an undisclosed place.
Kileleshwa MCA Robert Alai denounced the act, calling upon the protesters to tread carefully in their protests against the government.
