Youth Inclusion Mandate: Jalang’o Sets 50% Local Employment Rule for Lang’ata Events

Phelix Odiwour alias Jalang’o, Member of Parliament for Lang’ata, has instructed event organizers seeking to host events in Lang’ata to assign 50 percent of the work to youth from the constituency.

In a message posted to social media, Jalang’o warned that anyone who disobeys the order will not be permitted to host the event in the area.

“New guideline. If you are hosting an event in Lang’ata venues without allowing our youth to work at your event, that event will not occur!

Carnivore, Uhuru Gardens, Nyayo Stadium, and every other Langata venue! 50% of jobs must go to youths from Langata!” he said.

“Is he unaware that some of the establishments he mentioned, such as Carnivore, are privately owned and operated? These locations host private events with private funding. These are not Langata constituency CDF events mandating that jobs must be outsourced to youths in the constituency to the extent of fifty percent! Watajitetea wenyewe. He has just created a loss-making journey for the venues. Other constituencies will benefit greatly from events, according to Clayton Ngabwa.

“Surely Jalas, you can communicate better. This seems malicious and a call for chaos at the next upcoming event. What is half of the work? “Most planners require technicians for sound and lighting, and erecting the tents they possess requires specialized knowledge,” wrote Dennis Chege.

โ€œLol! This is a street utterance. It is “goonship” It lacks a legal foundation and is therefore unconstitutional, according to Sitati Wasilwa.
