Worldcoin Billionaire Sam Altman Fired as Open AI CEO
Sam Altan, a Bitcoin entrepreneur and former CEO of Open AI, was dismissed on Friday from his position as CEO. Open AI is the organization that oversees Chat GPT, a large-scale language model-based chatbot.
The entrepreneur who co-founded the digital currency Worldcoin was accused in a statement by the company’s board of withholding critical information from the board.
Moreover, he was accused by the board of impeding its ability to make crucial decisions concerning the organization.
Altman is notably one of the co-founders of the technology company that was established in 2015, alongside Elon Musk, the proprietor of X.
“Altman’s departure is a result of the board’s thorough and thoughtful review process, during which it was determined that his inconsistent lack of candor in his communications with the board impeded its capacity to carry out its duties.”
Part of the statement read, “The board has lost faith in his ability to continue leading OpenAI.”

Interim Chief Technology Officer Mira Murati will assume the role of CEO instead of Altman.
The magnate stated in his post-termination response that he would provide an update on his future endeavors within the following days.
“I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Open AI.” It ultimately had a transformative effect on the world, if not myself. Above all else, I enjoyed collaborating with such talented individuals. “I will provide further details regarding the forthcoming developments at a later time,” he declared.
In August, when the government halted the registration of Kenyans for digital currency technology, Altman made headlines in Kenya.
This was due to concerns regarding data harvesting, as the organization was conducting iris scans on Kenyan citizens.
The allegations were refuted by company representatives who testified before the National Assembly Committee investigating the Worldcoin scandal.
