‘Tap Tap Screen!’ Kanyari Joins TikTok Craze Live Sessions As Creators Continue Minting Millions
As the trend of earning money on TikTok gains momentum nationwide, an increasing number of creators are favoring the platform because of its highly profitable live sessions. When executed flawlessly, these sessions have the potential to instantly generate substantial wealth for participants.
The unmatched financial appeal of TikTok became evident when Brian Chira, a beloved creator, passed away. In just a few hours, his fans donated more than Ksh. 10 million on the platform, all designated for covering his funeral costs.
Capitalizing on the momentum of his remarkable fundraising success, the controversial televangelist Pastor Victor Kanyari seems to have ventured into TikTok, diving headfirst into the realm of profit-making.
Friday evening, Kanyari, known for his cunning financial prowess that has garnered national attention in the past, went live on TikTok, requesting his followers to send him ‘gifts’ in return for divine blessings.
For about an hour or more, Kanyari remained active on a live stream, urging viewers to continue sending him TikTok ‘gifts’ while employing biblical references to encourage donations.
At some point, saying, “Nimeshinda nikiombea hawa watu, nikiambia Mungu, yoyote alituma zawadi yake nikiwa LIVE abarikiwe sana… “
As more people tapped on their screens (which essentially translates to money) Kanyari kept up the tempo, asking fans to dig deeper into their pockets and ‘receive their blessings’.

“Chukua kile ambacho uko nacho, ile gift uko nayo, itume saa hizi na mimi nitapiga makofi yangu niseme ubarikiwe…” Kanyari repeatedly said.
Known for his smooth-talking persuasion, Kanyari urged his followers to recall his previous actions in their favor. He suggested that by sending him TikTok gifts, they were essentially acknowledging and rewarding him for his years of service in the Church.
“Kama nimekuwa baraka kwako basi hata wewe kuwa baraka katika huduma hii,” he rallied. “Sio Kana kwamba niko na shida ya pesa ama niko na shida ya hizo zawadi ambazo zinapeanwa katika Tiktok lakini bibilia inasema mkono utoao ndio mkono ubarikiwao…”
Although Gossipa2z.com hasn’t disclosed the exact amount Kanyari might have collected during that live session, it’s possible he received a considerable sum judging by the level of gift-giving observed on the screen.
In the language of TikTok, gifts function as a form of donation system enabling users to send monetary support to their preferred creators. These gifts can be purchased using TikTok coins.
Each virtual present is priced differently in coins, hence, if you intend to contribute more funds to your preferred creator, you would opt for a pricier gift.
