Sonko’s Sh30 Million Suitcase Stuns Kenyans
The ex-governor of Nairobi has incited equal amounts of jealousy and envy after posting a video displaying his wealth with an impressive display of force.
In the video, the politician is seen opening large suitcases filled with wads of foreign currency cash as he calls out a specific individual for questioning his wealth.
“Ati sina pesa kwa sababu si saidi watoto,” he started. “Nani ali kwambia sina pesa!?” demanded a frustrated Sonko to the unnamed individual who had gotten on his nerves.
“Sina pesa ya kuharibu na watoto. Hii pesa ni ya kuharibu na mabibi wangu!” he went on. In addition, the proud provocateur insisted that the money he was flashing was simply “pocket money for car fuel.” (Talk about a modest boast!)
“Hii ni millioni mbili (indicating pocket money) Hapa yote ni millioni thelathini”
