In this interaction, the entrepreneur quickly turned off his car’s engine through the mobile app for vehicle tracking. Unaware of the perpetrators, the victim returned the phone to them, and they continued their trip towards the Kiptagich region in Mau Forest, where they eventually stopped.

Additionally, they instructed him to contact his friends and family, which he complied with, resulting in him receiving Ksh25,000. Following this, the perpetrators directed him to accompany them to a mobile money outlet, where he was coerced into withdrawing all the available funds.
After acquiring the money, the suspects quickly drove off, abandoning him in a remote location. It’s been said that the businessman then hopped onto a motorcycle and made his way to a police station to report the occurrence.
Initial inquiries indicated that two individuals, operating the businessman’s Toyota Fielder, fled from the location once the vehicle came to a halt on the main road due to a malfunctioning system.
At the moment, six of the seven suspects have been arrested and are placed in custody. According to the police report, this involves a police officer attached to an incumbent Nominated Senator.
