Senator Methu Ruthlessly Claps Back at Karen Nyamu: “Nitakuita Watu Wakianza Kutwerk”
Nyandarua Senator John Methu and nominated Senator Karen Nyamu have sparked an online feud that has left their followers entertained.
The clash began when Methu took to Facebook to announce that Isaac Kamau, the acting CEO of Kenyatta University Teaching and Referral Hospital (KUTRH), had been replaced by Zainab Gura. He highlighted the development as a step toward eliminating tribalism.
Methu’s post included a satirical jab about the decision, claiming it signified an end to tribal and nonsensical politics.
He stated, “Isaac Kamau, the acting CEO of KUTRH, has been removed and replaced by Zainab Gura, who is also acting. The board that appointed Kamau has been disbanded. Tunamaliza siasa ya ukabila na ujinga.”

In response, Nyamu commented under the post, suggesting Methu misunderstood the temporary nature of the acting CEO’s role. She quipped, “Ask him what acting CEO means. I’m sure he knew that was a temporary capacity.”
Methu countered Nyamu’s remark with a sharp retort, referencing her well-known dancing skills. “I will call you when people start twerking,” he fired back, adding a playful tone to the otherwise serious discourse.
In other political developments, Methu openly criticized President William Ruto as tensions continued to rise in Mt Kenya.
Speaking during a church service at AIPCA Kangari in Kigumo, the senator—aligned with former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua—expressed that the region’s trust in the Kenya Kwanza administration has dwindled.
Methu highlighted the strained relationship between Mt Kenya and Ruto, citing challenges faced by the president’s emissaries even during solemn occasions like funerals.
He emphasized that these difficulties reflect a growing disconnect between the administration and residents, marking a significant political shift in the region.
