Raila Odinga Reveals List of People Ruto Shouldn’t Appoint to Cabinet
Azimio Leader Raila Odinga urged President William Ruto on Sunday to avoid reappointing Cabinet Secretaries he had previously dismissed.
Speaking from Dubai, UAE, Raila expressed his opposition to the reappointments as a gesture of solidarity with youth-led anti-government protests.
The former Prime Minister stated that the issues raised by Gen Z, including the call for new Cabinet Secretaries, echoed concerns previously highlighted by Azimio in 2023.
Raila’s statement came after President William Ruto had already reinstated some of the dismissed Cabinet Secretaries.
Those who have returned to the Executive include Kithure Kindiki (Interior Security), Aden Duale (Defence), Alice Wahome (Lands and Public Works), Davis Chirchir (Roads and Transport), and Rebecca Miano (Attorney General).
