Police Raid on Pastor Ezekiel’s Bungoma Church: Followers Dispersed

Bungoma County Police Commander, Francis Kooli, led a team of police officers on Thursday, May 11, in conducting an operation at New Life International Church branches in Western Kenya.

The Church located at Sikata on the outskirts of Bungoma town was hosting several faithful who were seemingly on a prayer program.

Officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) had summoned the pastor for questioning, but he refused to surrender.

“We’ve called him, but he says he’s not available. If he does not show up, we will be forced to pursue him through other means,” Kooli said.

Wednesday, May 10, police officers visited New Life International Church (Bungoma) and ordered the senior pastor to report to DCI offices.

The County Commander noted, however, that they were following crucial leads that would soon lead to the preacher serving under the controversial pastor Ezekiel Odero’s capture.

He claimed that forensic investigators from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation were on his trail.

The investigators questioned the New Life International Church Bungoma’s neighbors. Who stated that the religious institution was only two months old.
