Pastor Ezekiel Odero Leads Church Branch Groundbreaking in Mosocho, Kisii
Friday, Pastor Ezekiel Odero of New Life Church and Prayer Centre. Presided over the groundbreaking ceremony for the church’s Mosocho, Kisii County, branch.
The Mosocho branch will occupy over 13 acres of land. After nearby landowners agreed to sell it to the church and merge their properties.
Pastor Odero, who leads the church in Mavueni, Kilifi County, was arrested and released during the height of the Shakahola cult deaths investigations.
“I’m here for the grand opening of this branch. Pastor Odero told GossipA2Z that the congregation is relocating from a specific location (in Bonchari, Kisii) to a plot of land larger than 13 acres.
As a spiritual father, he stated it was his responsibility to bless the land where the new church complex will be constructed.
Numerous New Life members from various South Nyanza districts attended the one-day service for blessings and healing.
“I believe there were hundreds if not thousands. It was a one-day service, and if we had planned a crusade for tomorrow, it would have been impossible to manage the crowd,” he explained.
Not long after being barred from holding a crusade in Machakos, Pastor Odero thanked the government for permitting him to attend and preach at the Kisii event.

Pastor Odero’s younger brother, Pastor Gillack Odero, owns the church, which is relocating to Mosocho from Rianyabaro in Suneka, Bonchari Constituency.
Pastor Gillack is the fourth child in his family’s lineage. “I do not consider him my brother because there are no siblings in the ministry. He is God’s servant. Pastor Odero said of Pastor Gillack, “My brother is at home”
Odero’s attorney reports that on August 1, 2023, the Presidential Task Force on Religion, which is currently engaging stakeholders in public participation across the country, will visit the New Life Church congregation in Mavueni and hold a meeting with them.
Pastor Gillack mentioned the beginning of construction in Mosocho in a recent interview with GossipA2Z.
He compared the new church to the biblical temple that Jesus said he would demolish and reconstruct in three days.
Pastor Gillack asserted that his sibling did not assist him in constructing the 40-by-60-foot Bonchari church.
Pastor Gillack revealed to GossipA2Z that his older brother permitted him to establish a church in Kisii.
“We have nothing to hide in our church because we serve the living God,” he said in his last interview.
Gillack explained that he is a farmer and also has online supporters.
