NTSA Unveils eCitizen Migration Plan: What You Need to Know!
The NTSA has provided schedules for different services after transitioning to the eCitizen platform.
As per the schedule unveiled on Thursday, Kenyans will be able to utilize six immediate services on the platform within a timeframe of five to seven days.
Services provided include a Road Service License, Provisional Driving License (DL), Virtual DL, and Interim DL.
The duplication of records and issuance of the PSV badge will be promptly completed, and the motor vehicle inspection will be accomplished within a mere 20 minutes.

Alternatively, the NTSA mentioned that it will require five days to process Smart Driver’s Licenses, whereas the processing of number plates will be completed within seven days.
The handling of log books through the eCitizen platform will require three days, just like the processing time for motor vehicle ownership transfer applications.
“All our services are available online. Use your eCitizen credentials to log in to your account,” NTSA stated.
Charges
Obtaining a duplicate set of documents containing information about a motor vehicle will require a payment of Ksh550 for Kenyan individuals.
Drivers bringing their cars in for inspection will need to pay a fee of Ksh1,050.
Concerning the usage of reflective plates, drivers will need to spend Ksh1,550 for a solitary reflective plate, and Ksh3,050 for a set of reflective number plates.
The fees for applying to transfer ownership of a motor vehicle will vary based on the CC ratings, which refer to the total volume of engine displacement of the vehicle.
Alternatively, obtaining duplicate log books comes with a price tag of Ksh2,550 and requires a processing time of three days.
