Additional items were confiscated from the suspect, including packaging envelopes suspected to be utilized within the drug syndicate.

The detectives seized three cell phones suspected to hold information crucial for identifying the suspectโ€™s associates and assisting in the ongoing investigations.

The suspect is expected to be arraigned in court on April 18.

This arrest follows a commitment by law enforcement officials to carry out an operation along the Kenyan Coast aimed at rooting out drug dealers in the area.

On March 17, the lifeless body of Yusuf Ahmed Swaleh, also known as Candy Rain, a suspected drug kingpin purportedly inheriting a lucrative narcotics network from the Akasha siblings, was discovered under perplexing circumstances.

The corpse was discovered abandoned in dense vegetation in Kilifi County following claims that individuals masquerading as law enforcement officers had taken him away for interrogation.
