Nicola Bulley: Third Week of Hunt Uncovers Insights from Partner’s Interview
Paul Ansell, the partner of missing mother-of-two Nicola Bulley, says he is “100% certain” she is not in the river, as police confirm social media trolls are wrong in an online blame game.
In an emotional interview that shed new light on the day Nicola Bulley vanished and revealed the family’s anguish, the partner of Nicola Bulley struggled to hold back the tears.
With the search for the missing mother of two entering its third week, Paul Ansell has elaborated on their “hellish” 14 days.
Friday marked the debut of the 75-minute special “Vanished: Where is Nicola Bulley?” on Channel 5.
The father explained to Dan Walker why he is certain she did not enter the river during a conversation.
He also explained why, despite having been cleared by police, he has not been able to avoid social media conspiracy theorists with twisted beliefs.

He also disclosed that he is attempting to keep his children’s spirits up despite his inability to provide them with the desperately needed answers.
Indicatively, he believes a local could be responsible for the disappearance of the mother of two.

Nicola ‘didn’t fall into the river
Mr. Ansell asserts that he is certain that his partner is not in the river.
After hearing the opinions of the experts, he is certain that she did not enter the water.
As you probably know, he told the presenter, “extensive searches have been conducted in that river.”
“The fact that divers, the underwater rescue team, and everyone else was in that river on the day in question, and thankfully found nothing in the section where you must presume she was last seen, is extremely encouraging.
“In my opinion, I am 100 percent convinced that it is not the river.”
It must be a “local.”
The fact that he believes a local person could be responsible for her disappearance was one of the most significant takeaways from the interview.
The 45-year-old was last seen walking her dog Willow in the village of St. Michaels on Wyre after dropping off her daughters at school.
The father expresses concern that someone in the area is responsible.
“People don’t simply disappear,” he told the presenter. “It is physically impossible. Thus, something has occurred.

“A resident must be responsible for whatever has occurred, in my opinion.” You would only be familiar with that area because it is a local area.”
He added, “You see the same faces every day, and on the rare occasion that you recognize someone, you don’t recognize them. They are as noticeable as a sore thumb.”
How he consoled traumatized children
The father asserts that it is impossible to shield his young daughters from current events.
He stated that reassuring them that the best people in the world are searching for their mummy is the best thing he can do.
It is impossible, he stated on the show. “As any parent knows, the only reason you’re doing this is to make things better for your children, right?
“Whenever they are worried or scared or experiencing anything similar, you want to make it better for them, but I can’t.
“I find that this is the most effective method, so I try to reassure and distract them as much as possible.”
He added, “The only thing I can do is inform them that everyone is searching for their mother.

“The best people in the world are searching for mummy, just to give them that level of hope so that they can comprehend that everything possible is being done.”
He looked forward to an hour of tranquility.
Mr. Ansell says he anticipated an hour of peace after his children left for school on the day the mother vanished.
However, he noticed a difference on the morning of the day she went missing; there was less urgency to leave the house.
“When Nikki takes the girls to school, I know that I’ll have approximately an hour to myself in the morning.
Therefore, I always look forward to that. I then enter the house, put the kettle on, make a cup of tea, and think to myself, “Right, I’ve got an hour.”
“Any parent, regardless of who they are, looks forward to a little bit of peace, don’t they?
“I just got home, put the kettle on, made a cup of tea, went into the living room, and figured I’ve got about an hour to relax and get ready for the day.”
Is her phone a distraction?
He suspects that the discovery of her phone on a bench was merely a “decoy.”
Two weeks ago, a dog walker discovered the missing mother’s mobile phone while it was still on a work call.
The harness for her dog was also discovered next to the bench.
He stated, “We always suspected that the cell phone and the harness could have been decoys.” Again, there is no evidence.”

Because the team’s call was still active at the time, Dan asked him, “Are these not the sorts of things you would naturally consider?” And Willow’s harness is lying on the floor, and I’m sure you’re constantly considering these things.”
He responded, “Of course. The only thing that concerns us is locating her; nothing else matters.”
Partner retaliates against trolls
Paul has responded to social media trolls who accuse him of involvement in Nicola’s disappearance.
Since news of Nicola’s disappearance first broke, rumors about her death have circulated on social media, and Paul has now clarified what he thinks of those who blame him.
However, according to police, he was immediately cleared of any involvement.
Dan asked, “There has been a great deal of publicity surrounding Nikki’s disappearance, and I’m assuming that your story is one of the most discussed on social media.
“I don’t know if you’ve read the stories, accusations, and theories currently circulating. “Does that bother you, or are you pleased that people are discussing it and seeking a solution?”

However, he stated, “It would only be upsetting if I read it all.”
He continued, “Don’t misunderstand me, I have seen some things. There will always be 2% of people who, for whatever reason, say or do unkind things, but I’m not going to waste my time on them.
“My energy is just finding Nikki. I read that the police need to investigate the partner, and I thought, yeah, that’s the first thing they did. It is. I knew that would occur on the first day; I anticipated it.”
