New Details Emerge: Businessman in Eastleigh Shooting Sustained Spinal Code Injury
Fresh information has surfaced concerning the CCTV footage capturing the shooting incident involving Adan Ali Mohamed, a businessman from Eastleigh, on Saturday, March 30th.
A family member of the entrepreneur informed the media on Sunday that Mohammed, who had Ksh4 million in cash on him, was on his way to deposit the earnings from two days of cooking oil sales.
The individual, a businessman, who was a passenger on a motorcycle, was confronted by another motorbike and subsequently shot in the neck.
He was subsequently taken to the hospital, where it was determined that he had sustained a spinal cord injury as the bullet had entered through his neck and exited through his back.
“Adan was taking two-day sales of cooking oil to the bank. He found the bank closed and called his colleague to inform him,” a relative told the press.
“He was told to take a motorbike and within a half-kilometer, he was accosted by thieves whose origins were unknown. Adan was shot and robbed of the money.”
A healthcare professional at the hospital where the businessman was hospitalized disclosed that the injury was severe and would require a specialized medical procedure.

When Mohammed reached the hospital, he was unable to sense his legs and urgently requested a CT scan and MRI.
“When the injury happened, the patient could not sense his legs and when he was brought, we managed to take care of him immediately,” the medical expert explained
“We did imaging, a CT Scan, and an MRI. That confirmed our fears which shows that he has got a serious injury in his spinal cord. He will require a procedure to destabilize the spine and decompress the spinal cord to give him a chance for recovery.”
Allegedly on his way to BBS Mall during the assault, the 26-year-old entrepreneur was targeted by an assailant who fired at him.
After the occurrence, investigators from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations arrived at the location to collect evidence and evaluate the circumstances.
The Eastleigh Police Commander verified that a search was underway for the two individuals responsible.
