On Friday, February 23, a driver from Narok experienced a significant setback when he was relieved of Ksh75,400 and his white Toyota Probox while traveling to Olokirikirai Trading Centre.

As per a police document acquired by Kenyans.co.ke, at approximately 8:00 pm in Narok town, the driver provided a ride to two unfamiliar individuals who asked to be transported to Tipis.

Upon arriving at the trading center, it is said that the two men approached the driver and demanded him to hand over the keys to the car.

Armed with knives, the pair warned they would stab him unless he complied with their requests.

Yielding to their demands, the driver, who is 34 years old, handed over the keys and demonstrated a willingness to adhere to their additional requests.

The two individuals took charge of the car’s steering, moved the driver to the rear seat, bound him with a rope, and gagged him using a cloth.

Afterward, they proceeded to ADC Farm in the Tipis region, where they stole Ksh75,400 from him and took possession of the vehicle. The police did not disclose whether the funds were in cash or from his mobile wallet.

Shortly after, the individuals left him stranded at the mentioned farm and quickly departed.

“They drove towards Mau Narok-Nakuru Road. The driver was assisted by another motorist and taken to Enaibelbel Health Centre for treatment,” the police report read in part.

After the occurrence, law enforcement officers from Olorropil Police Station went to the site to conduct investigations to identify and track down the suspects.

Additionally, police are also relying on the vehicle’s Global Positioning System (GPS) tracker to monitor its movements.
