Mixed Reactions After Woman Confesses How She Used NTSA Website To ‘Stalk’ Man She Liked

Waithera Kihara, an X ( formerly Twitter) user has mesmerized the internet after her thread on spotting a ‘gorgeous’ man, stalking him, and eventually managing to message him caused mixed reactions online.

In her sugary thread, Waithera spoke of how the said man parked right next to her, dashed into a pharmacy, and drove off in a matter of minutes, leaving her utterly hypnotized.

“I’d parked at that new arcade near UNEP on Limuru road minding my business when this gorgeous man parked right next to me and dashed into the pharmacy real quick…and back to his car; all the while unaware that he had just ruined the rest of the week for me,” she wrote.

“I legit stared at him for a good couple of minutes until he drove off. I contemplated saying hello but y’all, I was in a dera and braless – this is not Hollywood!”

In the thread, Waithera goes on to detail the car the man was driving – a VW Tuareg – his overall physique, and that he was wearing ‘frameless spectacles.’

As a woman on a mission, Waithera also said that she memorized the man’s number plates as he drove off, intent on looking him up if he kept popping up in her mind.

What happened next has got Kenyans on X talking, with many people even questioning their data safety with vehicle body NTSA.

“Two days later this fool was still on my mind for some reason and I could somehow still remember his number plate so I did this lil invasive but allowable thing okay? I NTSA’d the number plate and got a name!” she confessed.

“Remember that clean corporate look? Yeah, he had to have a LinkedIn account. So, I keyed in his name on LinkedIn (fingers crossed) and there he was!”

Waithera went on to narrate that, after finding him on LinkedIn, she messaged him and, after he didn’t respond, she realized that she had not included her phone number which she promptly did.

“I was stunned! Like, I truly didn’t think he’d ever get in touch! Tell me why we did a two-hour + phone call (on the first call) and he called again first thing in the morning, has been texting all day and sneaking quick calls ugh!” she narrated.

The tweet, intertwined with Waithera’s unconventional wooing methods, quickly went viral, with a section of Kenyans online lauding praises on her for her steadfastness in pursuing a man and her relentlessness in finally nailing down a crush.

Many on the X platform, however, noted that it’s incredibly easy for someone to simply look you up on the NTSA database, find your name, look up your digital footprint, and actually find you.

Below are some reactions.
