Fortunately, there were no reported injuries or fatalities at the time of reporting, and the cause of the fire remains unknown.
This is not the first fire at the school. In 2019, a blaze tragically claimed the life of a student, who was found after a roll call.
The incident follows closely on the heels of a fire at Isiolo Girls High School and the Hillside Endarasha Academy blaze that killed 21 students.
The increase in fires during the third term of the school year raises serious concerns.
Meanwhile, Education PS Belio Kipsang has ordered strict enforcement of the ban on school activities and visits as of Wednesday, September 4.
It remains unclear if this ban is linked to the rising number of school fires.
