Lawyer Cliff Ombeta Predicts Paul Mackenzie’s Release and Political Career in 2027

Nairobi – Reputable criminal attorney Cliff Ombeta scoffed at the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) proposal to charge Paul Mackenzie, a controversial preacher.

DPP Noordin Haji is considering bringing terrorism and religious radicalization charges against the controversial pastor.

Mackenzie, who is in police custody, is under investigation for influencing his Good News International Church members to starve to death with a false promise of meeting Jesus.

Mackenzie is likely to face charges.

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have exhumed 98 bodies. Presumed to be his followers from his expansive land in Shakahola village.

On the evening of Tuesday, April 25, Ombeta announced on his official Twitter account. That Mackenzie will be released from prison and then freely enter politics.

According to Ombeta, the residents of his obscure Shakahola village will vote for him, and Kenyans will have no recourse.

“Pastor Mackenzie atatoka na ataingia politics in 2027 na hakuna kitu Mtadoo. Votes zitatoka Shakahola. (In 2027, Mackenzie will be released from prison and enter politics, and there is nothing you can do to stop it. The residents of Shakahola will vote for him,” Ombeta stated.

Why do politicians fear coming into contact with religious leaders

John Mueke, a city attorney, opined that politicians fear rubbing shoulders with religious leaders “lest they warn their congregations not to vote for them.”

“They view citizens as potential voters and would do anything to secure their votes. Evidently, in 2022, mama Idah Odinga proposed the regulation of churches. Prompting Kenyans to label her anti-Christ and anti-religion on social media. Those same Kenyans are now questioning where the government has been and recognizing the need for church regulation, Mueke said.

Mueke cited Article 46 and the Consumer Protection Act, which grants protection rights to consumers.

“It is crucial to regulate the information that people receive. Religion has been abused since the beginning of time. It was utilized by the Normans to colonize Britain. By the British to colonize large portions of Africa and India. Since their departure, by politicians to ascend to power,” Mueke said.

How credulous congregants fall victim to preachers

According to him, this gave rise to gluttonous people asking congregants to sell their land and possessions to give them money.

“While congregants continue to languish in poverty. Pastors are purchasing prime real estate, the most expensive automobiles. And even private helicopters, while Jesus Christ rode a donkey,” he continued.

Earlier, GossipA2Z, reported that Ombeta argued that the charges against Mackenzie only serve to deny him bail.

“DPP must return to the blackboard. The purpose of these charges is to prevent the pastor from obtaining bail. Hapa nikama anachota maji akitumia kichungi. I will not recommend a preference to him,” Ombeta said.

As previously reported, President William Ruto tasked the country’s investigative agencies with determining the root cause of the activities of those who wish to use religion to advance bizarre and unacceptable ideologies.
