Jalang’o Ejected from Machakos Meeting

Felix Odiwuor Jalang’o, an elected official from Lang’ata, has been expelled from the Azimio la Umoja parliamentary group meeting currently taking place at Maanzoni Lodge in Machakos County.

Thursday morning, a commotion was witnessed at the facility after a group of men prevented Jalang’o from entering the meeting room.

After the brief commotion, the member of parliament was admitted, only to be expelled minutes later.

After being expelled, Jalang’o claimed to the press that a member of Raila Odinga’s security asked him to leave the room.

“I feel bad. You are aware that I adore Baba… “I am an ODM member,” he stated.

Monday’s meeting between the lawmaker and President William Ruto has been linked to his current plight.

Jalang’o explained, “I have no regrets about meeting Ruto; I went there in my capacity, and he called me to discuss development issues.”

When asked if he would apologize for going in a different direction than his party, Jalang’o responded, “No, I went there for development.”

“I am still in Azimio, and I am still an ODM member. This is political discourse “he added.

Lang’ata legislator Gideon Ochanda (Bondo), Elisha Odhiambo (Gem), Mark Nyamita (Uriri), Caroli Omondi (Suba South), Shakeel Shabir (Kisumu East, Independent), Paul Abuor (Rongo), John Owino (Awendo), and Kisumu Senator Tom Ojienda visited State House on Monday.
