Inside Pastor Ezekiel’s Palatial Kilifi Mansion: Exclusive Tour with His Lawyers

Shanzu Law Courts in Mombasa granted bail to Pastor Ezekiel Odero of the New Life Prayer Centre and Church.

The minister enjoyed his first day as a free man in his Mavueni compound after spending days as a state guest.

Odero gave his attorneys Danstan Omari and Cliff Ombeta an unrestricted tour of his magnificent home and grounds.

Kilifi-based New Life Prayer Centre and Church Pastor Ezekiel Odero is elated after securing his release from police custody.

A day after his release, the minister walked around his enormous facility in Mavueni, Kilifi County, in high spirits.

The persecuted minister walked alongside his attorneys Danstan Omari and Cliff Ombeta after they secured his freedom.

The cleric granted the two city attorneys unrestricted access to the church while wearing his signature white robe and guiding them through the multimillion-dollar structure.

They laughed and conversed heartily as they strolled along the pathways in the vast facility that offers numerous services, including Ezekiel’s unopened church for his followers.

Ezekiel holds a religious service after his release

On Thursday, May 4, Ezekiel led an evening church service. That was attended by hundreds of congregants who filled the building.

They all thanked God for releasing their pastor, who had been in jail for nearly two weeks.

Ezekiel asked his followers not to discuss the recent events and urged them to continue spreading the word of God.

Together with other churchgoers, the man of God and his wife, who wore a white dress, knelt in prayer for a moment of solemn reflection.

Ezekiel also took a moment to thank his wife for her support and fortitude throughout the ordeal.

Pastor Ezekiel’s bail release

The Shanzu Law Courts released the preacher on KSh 1.5 million cash bail. And a KSh 3 million bond with the same surety amount.

Senior Principal Magistrate Joe Omido denied the state’s request to hold him for an additional thirty days.

Omido stated that the prosecution had failed to provide pertinent evidence in the case.

In his decision, the judge questioned how the release of Ezekiel would have affected the ongoing postmortem examinations of Shakahola victims.

The cleric, who had already spent seven days in Police Custody at Port Police. Ordered to report weekly to a police station or as required by the State.

The judge stated that the terms of the pastor’s bond would remain in effect. Until the investigations are complete or until he is formally charged.
