Govt Invites Kenyans To Own Homes In Nakuru With Monthly Rent of Ksh 16K
The Ministry of Lands has declared the finalization of Affordable Housing residences in the Bondeni locality within Nakuru County, welcoming Kenyan individuals keen on acquiring these units to make a purchase.
As per the Ministry’s statement, there are options to choose from between two-bedroom or three-bedroom apartments.
The cost for the two-bedroom units is set at Ksh3.1 million, and the three-bedroom units are available for purchase at Ksh4.5 million.
Nevertheless, individuals unable to buy the houses outright have the alternative of a rent-to-own arrangement.

Through the rent-to-own arrangement, individuals interested in owning a two-bedroom unit will make monthly rental payments of Ksh16,997 until they have fully paid off the government’s specified price.
Customers opting for the three-bedroom apartments will face a rental fee of Ksh22,933.
As per the Ministry’s information, there are 380 openings for two-bedroom units and an equal number, of 380 openings, for three-bedroom units.
The facility offers various features such as an outdoor playground for children, a drilled well for water, a medical clinic, a communal gathering space, a dining establishment, and retail stores.
The residences additionally feature a secondary power generator and driveways surfaced with cabro paving.

In the meantime, potential purchasers have been recommended to visit the location and inspect the homes before commencing the application procedure.
“Prospective purchasers are invited to visit the Bondeni housing site to view the houses and register to purchase on the Boma Yangu Portal,” read the notice in part.
