DP Gachagua Discloses People Behind His Latest Political Stand
Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua asserted on Friday that he has the unwavering support of the Mt Kenya residents.
Addressing a gathering in Kasarani, Nairobi, Gachagua claimed his recent political stance had the endorsement of the region, emphasizing that he represented the views of a larger community.
“I speak not for myself, but as a representative of the people’s voice. If you listen closely, you’ll hear their sentiments echoed in my words,” the DP explained.
“My positions are not personal; they reflect the backing of a significant group,” he added.
Gachagua also criticized certain politicians for betraying their constituents, urging Kenyans to remain cautious of such leaders.
He emphasized the importance of respecting those who elected them, regardless of differing political opinions.

“As leaders, once we’ve achieved our goals, we must not disrespect those who elected us. Let us not misuse their trust,” Gachagua advised.
He also responded to critics who called him a villager, asserting that such remarks did not bother him.
Gachagua’s remarks came a day after the Majority Leader in the National Assembly criticized his campaign to unite Mt Kenya.
During a parliamentary session on Wednesday afternoon, the outspoken legislator accused the Deputy President of causing national division.
The Kikuyu Sub-County legislator stressed the importance of national unity, regardless of election results.
“Development is a right for the entire nation, irrespective of voting patterns in general elections,” Ichung’wah remarked.
