Chipukeezy Appointed Assistant Director in the Office of the President
Popular media personality Chipukeezy, whose real name is Vincent Mwasia Mutua, has been appointed as the Assistant Director of Protocol and Events in the Executive Office of the President. The announcement was made on Wednesday, March 26, by Dennis Itumbi, Head of Presidential Special Projects and Creative Economy.
New Role and Responsibilities
In his new position, Chipukeezy will be responsible for managing official ceremonies, state functions, and diplomatic protocols. His key duties include:
- Protocol Management – Ensuring proper observance of diplomatic protocols during state functions, hosting foreign dignitaries, and advising officials on etiquette.
- Event Planning – Organizing national events, including public holidays, summits, and state banquets, while coordinating logistics for presidential trips.
- Liaison with Government Agencies – Working with ministries, embassies, and international organizations on diplomatic engagements.

Chipukeezy’s Return to Government
This is not Chipukeezy’s first time serving in government. In 2018, former President Uhuru Kenyatta appointed him as a director at the National Authority for the Campaign Against Drug Abuse (NACADA). He later became the Vice Chairperson in 2021.
A Journey from Comedy to Leadership
Chipukeezy first became famous as a comedian on NTV’s Churchill Show. Over the years, he has built a strong presence in Kenya’s entertainment and media industry. His latest appointment highlights his growing influence beyond the entertainment world.
