Nairobi police are actively seeking unidentified individuals wearing hoods, as seen in surveillance footage, who burglarized a gaming lounge belonging to Anthony Mwenda Kinoti. Kinoti is the son of former Director of Criminal Investigations, George Kinoti.

In a private conversation with Gossipa2z.com, Mwenda verified that the intrusion occurred on the night of Monday, April 1st, as the perpetrators deceived the security guard of the premises.

“There are some people who came yesterday at around 6:00 am. They came in a black X-trail and parked along City Park along Biashara Street,” Mwenda stated.

“One of them alighted the car, surveyed the building, and waited for the security officer to open the backdoor and the gang entered.

“They executed the plan and thereafter tricked the security officer once again to allow them to load the gaming equipment into their car,” he added.

Mwenda clarified that the team utilized Monday, a public holiday, to seize the gaming equipment valued at a total of Ksh1 million through theft.

“They stole 9 playing stations 5 consoles, 2 PS4 consoles, 20 joystick pads, and 35 games including Mortal Kombat and FIFA. That is around Ksh1 million cumulatively,” he added.

“I reported the matter yesterday at Central Police Station and so far, I have had some regional DCI officers survey the premises.”

He’s collaborating with law enforcement to review the CCTV footage to obtain clear visuals of the perpetrators.

The surveillance video, acquired by this author, depicted three individuals trying to unlock the shop door before escaping with the stolen goods.

One individual wore a black hoodie and grey pants, while another opted for a pink blazer paired with blue jeans featuring white patches. The third person was clad entirely in black attire from head to toe.

Within the premises, the trio disassembles the stock while someone wearing a black cap and a blue face covering interferes with the security cameras.
