British golfer John Middleton was found brutally murdered at his Utange residence in Mombasa.
Kisauni Deputy County Commissioner (DCC) Jamleck Mbuba confirmed to the press that the body of the deceased was discovered on Saturday morning in a bathtub.
According to the police, his body was discovered by a cleaner who went there in the morning to do her usual cleaning and took the initiative to raise the alarm.
Upon the discovery, the cleaner contacted the deceased’s girlfriend who resides in Mtwapa who rushed to the scene and later reported the matter to the police promptly.
According to the DCC, the police found a machete believed to be used to kill him next to the lifeless body of the British national. At the time of the incident, John Middleton was reportedly living alone.
