Brian Chira’s Notebook Showing His Painful Struggles with Loneliness, Unhappiness Emerges
A notebook belonging to Brian Chira was found days after his burial when his family was moving his belongings from his house.
How Brian Chira died
An eyewitness who helped Chira before he met his untimely death revealed he found him outside an entertainment joint in Kiambu. He said he arrived at the establishment around 2:53 am on March 16.
Chira asked him for help. He offered him a lift, and together, they took a boda boda home.
He alleged that after arriving at his destination, Chira alighted and while crossing the road, he was hit by a speeding vehicle. He narrated how the accident happened, sharing details of the vehicle involved.
“A white canter hit him before speeding off. The boda boda rider also sped off, leaving me stranded. Before Chira was hit, he screamed. Aliturn akaona gari imemfikia (he turned and saw the vehicle was near) and then completely went silent,” he narrated.

On Saturday, March 30, Chira’s grandmother, accompanied by Baba T and other individuals, embarked on the emotionally challenging task of gathering his belongings from his house.
Baba T disclosed that they were instructed to remove the items as the house had already been assigned to another occupant
Baba T went live during the process and shared a message from Chira’s notebook.
In the message, Chira talked about struggles with loneliness and unhappiness.
“Even if I get that money, will I ever achieve true happiness? Will I still be lonely? The luxurious car, fancy mansion, and vacations to Mallorca will that ever be enough? Will it fill the emptiness in my heart or the void in my soul? Laying on the bed, whiskey in one hand with the other firmly clutched on the remote, Brina looked around his apartment eyes scanning the room. All he had achieved up to this point…” read the note.
