Woman Wheels Corpse into Bank, Allegedly Tries to Get Him to Sign Off Loan in Her Name

In a startling incident unfolding within a bank branch nestled in the district of Bangu, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, a woman was captured on surveillance attempting to procure the signature of a deceased individual for a loan application in her name.

The woman in question, identified as Erika de Souza Vieira Nunes, transported the lifeless body of Paulo Roberto Braga, aged 68, into the bank premises.

Accounts relayed by the Daily Mail depict Nunes endeavoring to fabricate the illusion that Braga was alive and willing to endorse the requisite documents.

Bank staff grew suspicious upon observing Braga’s pallid complexion, prompting them to record the peculiar scene as Nunes propped up the deceased’s head and endeavored to prompt him to grasp a pen.

“Uncle, are you listening? You have to sign it. I can’t sign for you,” she was heard imploring.

Despite the rational absence of a response from the deceased, Nunes persisted, coaxing him to sign the documents.

Nunes purported that Braga was cognizant of where to affix his signature but was being obstinate for inexplicable reasons.

Medical responders summoned to the scene duly confirmed that Mr. Braga had succumbed to his demise a few hours earlier.

Subsequently, Nunes, asserting herself to be Braga’s niece and caretaker, was apprehended at the site, while law enforcement initiated inquiries to ascertain whether she acted autonomously or if other relatives were implicated.

The loan Nunes sought to illicitly secure amounted to approximately £2,500 (equivalent to KSh 410,000).
