Winnie Odinga Undergoes Surgery
East Africa Legislative Assembly (EALA) Member of Parliament, Winnie Odinga, has undergone surgery after sustaining a leg injury during the East Africa Community (EAC) Parliamentary games in Rwanda.
In a statement on Thursday, the daughter of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga noted that she ruptured her Achilles tendon during the event.
Winnie added that she was recovering well after the surgery and shared a photo of her bandaged left leg.
She acknowledged that people had questioned her silence in recent days adding that she would also take some time off to fully recover.

“Some of you may have been asking why I have been quiet. I ruptured my Achilles tendon during the IPG (Inter-Parliamentary Games) in Rwanda.
“I’m all good after surgery but I’ll be low-key for a bit,” she stated.
