A segment of the Wajir County Assembly Members encountered adverse consequences as a result of the persistent flooding: their vehicle became partially submerged in water as a consequence of the intense precipitation.

While perched atop a pickup truck, the MCAs could be heard imploring for assistance in a video that went viral.

A significant portion of the vehicle was completely submerged in floodwaters when the MCAs began pleading with authorities for assistance and exclaiming “Help!”

โ€œWe need to be rescued,โ€ one of them could be heard shouting.

According to reports, the MCAs were conducting a fact-finding mission at the time of the incident to delineate flood-prone areas.

As they awaited rescue, the MCAs were observed clutching sturdy portions of the pickup.

After losing all hope of being rescued promptly, one of the truck occupants was observed preparing to confront the floods in a last-ditch effort to save himself.

The Kenya Meteorological Department has issued an advisory indicating that significant precipitation is anticipated in Wajir and other regions this weekend.

The incident in Wajir occurred two days after a helicopter rescued a truck driver and his passengers on Thursday after the vehicle was submerged in raging floodwaters caused by a heavy deluge.

The operator in Samburu County encountered formidable obstacles when he attempted to traverse the swift-moving water.

As the truck became submerged in water, the passengers attempted to remain aboard the vehicle by egressing through the window.

In the interim, the Meteorological Department has issued a warning that significant rainfall is expected in several regions of the country over the next few weeks.
