Usawa Party Claims: Mwangi wa Iria’s Home Under Siege

The Usawa Kwa Wote Party has accused that the Karen residence of party leader Mwangi Wa Iria is currently under attack.

Alvin Kinyua, the spokesperson for the party, said in a statement that was released on Friday that the situation has caused Mwangi Wa Iria’s family to be frightened and angry because he has been denied access to the property.

“We would want to inform our people that the residence of our Party Leader in Karen, Mwangi Wa Iria, is currently under attack. Since Tuesday, he has been unable to go inside his house for whatever reason. “It’s a terrible situation for his family,” he remarked.

According to Kinyua, the presence of such acts is undeniable evidence that the era of oppression has returned.

On the other hand, he made it clear that they will not back down from their struggle against the rising expense of living.

The Sawa Party stated their spokesperson stating that their party and its members will not be intimidated.

“The time of oppression, repression, and suppression has returned, but we are prepared to push ourselves to the limit to preserve our constitution and constitutionalism. Kinyua stated that the struggle and efforts to achieve economic liberation are still ongoing.

Wa Iria is a principal in Azimio la Umoja coalitionn.
This new development comes just hours after the leader of the Wiper party, Kalonzo Musyoka, disclosed that he has been placed under house arrest since Tuesday.

Paloma Gatabaki, who served as the communication person for the former vice president, stated that law enforcement officers had been stationed outside of his home.

“Yes, it is true that since Tuesday evening, H.E. Kalonzo Musyoka has been placed under house arrest,” the statement read. Gatabaki stated in a tweet that was shared by Kalonzo that “the Subarus and land rovers have been stationed outside his Karen residence to prevent him from leaving.”
