    Thursday Blackout to Hit Seven Counties

    Thursday Blackout to Hit Seven Counties

    Seven counties will face scheduled power interruptions on Thursday, Kenya Power has announced.

    Kenya Power said the interruption is to allow for system maintenance.

    Parts of Kiambu, Nakuru, Kisumu, Nyeri, Embu, Meru, and Kwale will not have electricity for the better part of the day, Kenya Power said.

    In Kiambu, Mwimuto, and Wanginge will be without power from 9 am to 5 pm Mwimuto, Wangige, Kessel Homes, Gathiga, Njonjos Farm, Epic Apts, and adjacent customers.

    Areas to be affected in Nakuru from 9 am to 4 pm are the whole of Egerton University, Bliss Flora, Kenya Highlands, Sojomni Flowers, Mwigito, Njokerio, Uwanja Ndege, Biston, Naiswet, and adjacent customers.

    In Kisumu, the power supply will be interrupted from 9 am to 3 pm in Kibos Market, KPA, Kibos Sch, KIRDI, Rice Mill, Elgons, Still Mill Side, Tido, Victoria Fish Farm, Kongaya Market, Mbeme, Ooko Market, Rarieda, Kaloo, Renja Sch, Kolewe Market and adjacent customers.

    In Nyeri, power will be interrupted from 8 am to 5 pm in Ihithe, Ihithe Secondary and Primary School, Mukarara, Gahuthi Water Pump, Kiamutiga, Gatherere, Hohoini PCEA, Hubuini, Kina TBC, Kahuro PCEA and adjacent customers.

    Muthatari, Mugoya Police, NTSA Vehicle Inspection, Priva Nuts, Karurina Market, Ithangawe, Kimangaru, Itabua, and adjacent customers in Embu will not have power from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm.

    In Meru, power will be disrupted from 9 am to 5 pm in Meru Prisons, Sayern Shopping Market, Milimani, Mewass Police Station, AP Line, Karen Hospital, Meru Referral Hospital, Kooje, Mwiriene, Law Court, County National Assembly, Post Office, Alba Hotel, Slopes Hotel, Royal Prince, Bradegate, Equity Bank Town, Prestige Hotel, ABSA Bank, Hart Towers, ABC Bank, Co-op Bank, Magunas S/Market, Maathai S/Market, Society Sacco S/Market, Central, KCB & Family Banks.

    Other areas are Meru Central, Diamond Trust, Gakoromone Market, Kirunga Shell Petrol Station, Mwariama Station, Mwalimu Mixed, Meru Girls, Kiambogo Coffe Factory, Thimangiri Market, Mulathankari, Thuura C/Fact, Mukongorone Primary, Mbeu Market, Kamukara, Kambi ya Nyanyua, Rwanyange, Kabaone Ndurumo, New Macadamia Fact, Giaki, Giaki Girls, BAT, Kibuline, Mukindu, Ciothirai, Mbirikene, Giaki Police Camp, Kiangombe, Ndekero, Ndiine, Thuura Secondary and adjacent customers.

    In Kwale, areas to be without power from 9 am to 5 pm are Kwale Town, Vuga, Chimani, Tsimba, Vyongwani, Golini, Kinarini, Godoni, Madabara, Kinango Town, Mihirini, Kerewe, Tiribe, Ndavaya, Ngulanze and adjacent customers.
