Theft Turns Tragic As Man Breaks Into Shop In Kitui, Falls Head-First, And Dies
The lifeless form of a man in his middle years was discovered within the confines of an electronics store situated in Mwingi, Kitui County, on Friday.
The surveillance system of the establishment captured footage revealing that the individual had plummeted from the roof of the premises during an attempt to unlawfully gain entry.
According to Mulinge Kituo, the proprietor of the store, he stumbled upon the deceased around 7:15 in the morning.
Uncertain about the man’s state, Kituo promptly secured the premises and notified the local law enforcement authorities about the grim discovery.
Describing the scene, Kituo mentioned observing signs of forced entry through a broken gypsum ceiling, followed by the sight of the body.ย

Erring on the side of caution, he chose to close the shop and promptly proceeded to inform the police.
Subsequently, law enforcement personnel arrived at the location, confirming the demise of the suspected intruder, who had tragically landed head-first onto the unyielding concrete floor.
The CCTV footage retrieved from the store’s security system depicted the sequence of events, showing the individual unlawfully entering the establishment and experiencing a fatal fall at approximately 11:40 pm the previous night.
ย Despite surviving the impact initially, the intruder endured agonizing moments of writhing in pain for approximately ten minutes before succumbing to silence.
