On Wednesday, February 7, a young teacher from Embu County took his own life following a rejection from his former girlfriend.
In a farewell message, the young man expressed his inability to imagine witnessing the girl he loved being with someone else, leading to his choice to end his own life.
The young man provided additional information about his preferred farewell arrangements, specifying his desire to be laid to rest on February 14th, Valentine’s Day.
“Just decided to rest in peace. I have tried all means but it has been in vain,” the suicide note read in part.
He additionally provided his girlfriend’s contact information, suggesting that she be the one to deliver his eulogy.
The former teacher assigned his family members the responsibility of investigating whether he had children from other relationships, to include them as heirs to his estate.
