Suspect Walks Into Teacher’s House, Stabs Her to Death in Broad Daylight

The family of a teacher from Limuru, Kiambu County, has been thrown into mourning after an unknown person walked into her house on Sunday afternoon and stabbed her.

According to the teacher’s neighbors, the incident occurred at 3.40 pm. They also stated that the suspect did not force his way into the house and just gained access to the house believed to have been left unlocked, after which they committed the heinous act.

“She was in the house and the attacker came and stabbed her. The suspect gained access to the building through a construction site in the area,” a relative who spoke to journalists on Monday stated.

The suspect is believed to have stabbed the lady multiple times before fleeing the scene. Reports indicate that the victim screamed for help to gain the attention of her neighbours who eventually came to her rescue.

The tenants got to her house and upon finding her in critical condition, rushed her to Tigoni Level 4 Hospital.

“They found her on the ground bleeding,” the relative further told journalists.

Despite these efforts, the victim succumbed to the stab wounds before reaching the hospital.

Following the incident, her family called upon the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and the police to investigate the matter and arrest anyone found guilty.

Limuru Police Commander Philip Mwania told journalists that DCI detectives were combing through CCTV footage from the building to monitor every person who went in and came out during the material time.

The detectives are also looking into the deceased’s call logs to see the people she contacted before her demise.

However, a member of the family noted that the detectives had declined to reveal the content of the CCTV footage insisting it was confidential and critical in the investigations.

“We want to know who committed this act before we lay our kin to rest and why they did it,’ another relative stated.
