Sudi Hits Back At Sifuna Over Class 2 Dropout Remarks

Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has criticized Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna for questioning why President William Ruto associates with people who lack academic qualifications.

During an interview on Citizen TVโ€™s *Day Break* show on Thursday, February 20, Sifuna expressed surprise that the President, who holds a PhD, spends time with Sudi, whom he referred to as a class two dropout.ย ย

โ€œI have never seen a PhD holder who surrounds himself with people who only studied up to Class 2. Doing so lowers the average intelligence level to about Class 8. They say birds of a feather flock together, so how can a PhD holder spend time with Sudi?โ€ Sifuna asked.

In response, Sudi dismissed Sifunaโ€™s remarks, arguing that leadership is not solely about academic qualifications. He emphasized that good leadership requires intelligence and natural abilities, not just education.

โ€œSifuna, while education is important, it is not the only requirement for effective leadership. It takes a mix of intelligence and natural qualities, which you clearly donโ€™t understand,โ€ Sudi said.

The UDA politician further claimed that he is intellectually superior to Sifuna and should not be compared to him. He also questioned whether voters are all university graduates, implying that academic achievements are not the only measure of capability.ย ย

“Sifuna, you claim that Ruto associates with Class 2 dropouts, but are the people who elected us all graduates? Can you even compare yourself to me? If you want to compare someone to Ruto, look for another person, not me. I am in a different league. You can check my backgroundโ€”I have knowledge that you donโ€™t even have a quarter of,” Sudi stated.
