Step-by-Step Guide on How to Access NTSA Services on eCitizen

The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) on January 2, 2024, facilitated a smooth transition to the eCitizen platform following a three-day shutdown of the Transport Integrated Management System (TIMS) portal.

Following the migration, users can now access NTSA services using the eCitizen login credentials.

The changes, according to the Authority, are in line with President William Ruto’s directive for all government services to be consolidated on one platform.

Here is a step-by-step instructions on how to access NTSA services using the eCitizen platform.

Users who are using the platform for the first time will be required to update their password.

Once you’ve successfully updated your password, you can proceed to the dashboard and make applications for various NTSA services.

These services include making an application and payment for a Provisional Driving License (PDL), booking a driving test to acquire a license, transferring automobile ownership from one person to another, and conducting a vehicle search on the portal by typing a car’s number plate, making the payment and download the motor vehicle copy of records.

Other services include vehicle inspection services, curriculum as well as making applications for second-generation number plates.

On the other hand, those seeking to acquire a smart driving license can make their applications on the eCitizen platform.
