Shock As a Pregnant Woman Is Murdered, Body Dumped In Naivasha
The community in Naivasha is in disbelief following the killing of a pregnant woman, whose body was later discarded along the Moi South Lake road.
The body of the woman in her mid-20s was found near the sanctuary area with fresh wounds on her hands, neck, and head.
The occurrence occurred one day following the discovery of the body of a girl who had been reported missing. The body was found abandoned along the Nairobi-Nakuru highway near Kinale forest, and it was discovered by members of the community.
In the recent incident, herders discovered a partially clothed corpse concealed beneath shrubbery and promptly alerted the authorities.
Peter Were, a witness, indicated a belief that the woman might have been killed at a different location and then transported to the current scene.
He mentioned that the lady wasn’t originally from the locality and mentioned the presence of apparent wounds on different body parts caused by a sharp implement.
“It’s evident that this woman was murdered elsewhere and the body ferried to the scene as no one around this estate knows her,” he said.
Samuel Ooro, the Deputy OCPD of Naivasha, verified the occurrence and mentioned that the remains had been duly retrieved and transported to the nearby mortuary.

He mentioned that preliminary inquiries suggested the occurrence of a homicide, emphasizing that the perpetrators had left the victim’s body at the location.
“Members of the public have recovered the body of a woman in her mid-20s who looks pregnant and we have started investigations,” he said.
In the interim, a set of travelers narrowly avoided a fatal accident when a matatu driver collided with a trailer in Naivasha as a response to being apprehended by county enforcement officials.
In the Naivasha-Mai Mahiu Road incident, one of the officers sustained injuries to his legs, while the other passengers managed to escape with minor injuries.
The county officers in Mai Mahiu Town apprehended the driver because he was picking up passengers outside the designated matatu terminus.
A witness named Alice Wanja reported that the angry driver drove away with three officers in the matatu and subsequently collided with the lorry bound for Naivasha.
“One of the county officers was injured on the leg while the driver was arrested as he tried to flee from the scene of the incident,” she said.
