    Senator Mandago Goes Into Hiding

The National Police Service has requested information regarding the whereabouts of Uasin Gishu Senator Jackson Mandago from Kenyans.

The police claimed in a statement released on Wednesday that the senator has been concealing from them since Tuesday, and anyone with information should contact the nearest police station.

Additionally, they instructed Mandago to report to the nearest police station.

“The National Police Service is in the process of executing an arrest warrant against Uasin Gishu Senator Hon. Jackson Mandago, who has gone underground since yesterday,” NPS said. “The Senator is required to present himself at the nearest police station.”

“NPS further appeals to any member of the public with information regarding Senator Mandago’s whereabouts to report to the nearest police station or via our toll-free numbers 999, 112, 911, and the Fichua Kwa DCI 0800722203.”

This occurs less than two hours after Mandago denied rumors that he was fleeing from police.

He stated that he is accessible to be summoned by the DCI.
“Rumors are circulating throughout Eldoret that DCI Officers have been searching for me all night. “As a law-abiding citizen, I will be present when summoned,” he said.

He added that he had also met with the offended parents and that they had reached an agreement on the next steps.

“I have met with the leadership of parents and we have agreed on the next steps outlined in their press release issued last night,”

Wednesday, the Director of Public Prosecutions issued an arrest warrant for Mandago and three other individuals in connection with the Finland and Canada Overseas Education Programme.

A court in Nakuru has also issued arrest warrants for the senator and three others on charges of abuse of office and misappropriation of funds.
