Security Rush To Gachagua’s Aid as DP Falls Durin 100M Race(Video)

On Sunday, January 7, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua experienced a minor tumble while participating in a 100-meter race in Tinderet, Nandi County.

Gachagua was in the lead during the Tinderet Barngetuny Mountain Run when he lost his footing and tumbled two meters away from reaching the finish line.

Security personnel and other important individuals involved in the occasion swiftly moved to assist the Deputy President.

He went on to win the 100-meter race after clocking 59 seconds.

The Deputy President was closely followed by Felix Koskei, the Head of Public Service, who came in second place in the race.

The Deputy President had a slight fall, but fortunately, there were no apparent injuries, and they appeared cheerful after securing victory in the race.

The national championship at Tinderet Barngetuny Mountain Run in Nandi County drew in a multitude of runners and sports fans from all over the nation.

Gachagua acknowledged the excellent effort to cultivate talents in the area, labeling Nandi as the birthplace of champions.

Additional leaders involved in the competition comprised Nandi Governor Stephen Sang, Deputy Governor Yulita Mitei, Athletics Kenya President Jackson Tuwei, and Sports Principal Secretary Peter Tum.

Parliamentarians who graced the event were; Julius Melly (Tinderet), Maryanne Kitany (Aldai), Abraham Kirwa ( Mosop), Josses Lelmengit (Emgwen), Bernard Kitur (Nandi Hills), Paul Biego, (Chesumei), Hillary Kosgei (Kipkelion West), Joseph Cherorot (Kipkelion East), and Zipporah Kering (EALA).
