Ruto’s Prayer for Divine Guidance: A Visit to Israel’s Western Wall

Ruto’s Prayer for Divine Guidance: A Visit to Israel’s Western Wall

On Tuesday, May 9, President William Ruto prayed at the Wailing Wall during his first visit to Jerusalem, Israel.

Ruto was greeted by Mordechai Eliav, the director of the Western Wall Heritage Foundation, who recounted the lengthy and enchanting history of the wall, also known as the historical site.

“We should never face isolation and prejudice against our Jewish nation brothers and sisters.

Ruto prayed for the Israelites, wishing them peace and unity.

The head of state alluded to the anti-Semitism that contributed to the Holocaust.

More than six million Jews were exterminated during Adolf Hitler’s dictatorship in Germany and throughout Europe.

This prejudice contributed to the establishment of the modern state of Israel, which gained its independence on May 14, 1948.

“Israel is a wonderful country. Fortunately, I have traveled to Israel.

Ruto told his audience, “Even though there are difficulties everywhere in the world, coming to the Holy Land is my greatest pleasure.”

William Ruto then prayed at the Wall before placing a prayer note within one of its cracks, as is customary for many tourists.

Ruto signed several agreements with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Netanyahu’s office in Jerusalem earlier in the day.

Rachel Ruto, First Lady, and Alfred Mutua, Cabinet Secretary for Foreign Affairs, accompanied him to the Asian nation.

The Wailing Wall, also known as the Western Wall or the Kotel, is an ancient limestone wall located on Temple Mount Hill in the Old City of Jerusalem.

In addition, it contains nearly 2,000-year-old tunnels that have remained intact.

Interestingly, it is believed that the construction of the wall began during the reign of King Herod the Great.

Here are some of the Reactions from Kenyans:
