    Ruto’s government won’t fail – Uhuru’s cousin Kung’u Muigai

Former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s first cousin Captain (Rtd) Kung’u Muigai, and the patron of Kiama Kiama, has called upon the residents of Mount Kenya to throw their support behind the Kwanza Kwanza administration.

Kiama Kiama is a group that brings together elders from the Mt Kenya communities.

Kung’u said that the government should be given ample time to deliver on its campaign promises.

“We should support the government instead of criticizing it daily and this is a clarion call to all Mount Kenya people and leaders,” he said.

“The government took power, and it is time for everyone now to do his job and others to wait for elections in 2027. That person who is telling you that the government can fall, governments don’t fall, even if it’s headed by a boy don’t play with it.”

Kung’u said this while addressing concerns raised by certain Murang’a leaders who criticized the government for the arrest of individuals suspected to be members of the Mungiki sect.

He defended the government’s actions, asserting that the arrests were not an error as the police were on duty carrying out their mandate while they pumped to the individuals in the forest offering sacrifices.

Kung’u emphasized that the suspects were apprehended based on reasonable grounds, but assured the public that Kiama Kiama had successfully resolved the situation.

He revealed having discussions with leaders from Murang’a and Nyeri, confirming that the matter had been resolved and there was no cause for alarm.

“I have talked to leaders Murang’a and Nyeri and the case has been solved and there is nothing for alarm,’ he said.

Furthermore, Kung’u dismissed any notions of violence and warned against individuals using social media to incite protests against the government.

He made it clear that such actions would not be entertained or supported.

“There are those young people on social media who are calling on people to protest and fight back against the government, this will not be entertained and we will not support such a move, ”Kung’u said

In a separate radio interview recently, Kung’u Muigai rallied leaders from the Mount Kenya region, urging them to support the government, regardless of their political affiliations.

He highlighted key government priorities such as ensuring food security, job creation, and providing universal healthcare to all Kenyans.

Gatang’a Member of Parliament, Edward Muriu on Monday expressed confidence in the Kwanza Kwanza administration’s commitment to fulfilling its agenda and campaign promises.

Muriu urged leaders to unite in supporting the government’s initiatives and cautioned against heeding unnecessary calls from the opposition.

“We are fully behind the Kenya Kwanza administration, and nothing will prevent us from fulfilling the campaign manifestos,” emphasized Muriu.
