Ruto Takes Stand: Confronts CS Over Ministry Squabbling

The President requested that the Cabinet Secretary be willing to assume responsibility.

President William Ruto used his fifth cabinet meeting at State House on Tuesday to publicly reprimand a minister for infighting within his ministry.

A furious President told the Cabinet Secretary face-to-face in front of his colleagues to stop the ‘drama’ or assume responsibility.

In response to allegations of corruption. The President’s brash rebuke of the CS signaled his latest no-nonsense approach to streamlining operations at ministries.

The affected CS has seen his ministry rocked by a vicious internal war between high-ranking officials. With claims that sharp disagreements could harm government delivery.

The ministry is in charge of providing strategic government services.

A member of the cabinet who requested anonymity due to the sensitivity of the matter stated. “It was nothing less than a dressing down.”

“The President made it abundantly clear that this will no longer be business as usual,” the source added, noting that the president was visibly angry.

William Ruto cautioned against the internecine conflict between CSs and their Principal Secretaries to foster synergy and avoid needless disputes.

Tuesday’s dispatch from the cabinet revealed the President’s impatience by issuing a stern warning against corruption and waste.

The Head of State stated that his administration will prioritize integrity in service delivery to Kenyans.

The President urged the Cabinet to uphold their constitutional and populace responsibilities.

He stated that corruption and waste will not be tolerated.
