Ruto Differs With His Security Over Manhandling of Man Disrupting His Speech
President William Ruto seemed to have a disagreement with his security team on Sunday when they forcefully handled a man who had interrupted his speech in an attempt to interact with the Head of State.
The leader was standing on the platform in Kakamega, wrapping up his address when an unknown young person approached. The individual raised their right hand, displaying a framed emblem of the Kenyan government.
Without delay, a team of 5 officers from the presidential detail hurriedly moved in, swiftly raising the man from the ground and removing him from the podium.
The young man’s sandals were forcefully removed as security officers lifted him, all while he resisted.
Consequently, the leader instructed the security personnel not to mistreat him, but rather to accompany him to the VIP tent. There, the leader intended to have a conversation with him after completing his speech.
“Haya, wacha aketi hapa. Wewe mlete hapa. Leta yeye hapa. Mlete hapa aketi nitamuongelesha baadaye. Asante sana,” he told the team
(Alright, let him sit here (stated Ruto while pointing towards the VIP tent where his chair was). Bring him here. Let him sit (in the tent) I will talk to him later. Thank you.)
Following his participation in interdenominational prayers, the Head of State revealed in his speech at the event that he had plans to travel to Japan in the upcoming days.

He mentioned that while on his visit to Japan, he intends to secure financial support for an important project that has not been disclosed. Musalia Mudavadi, the Cabinet Secretary for Prime and Foreign Affairs, will be in Tokyo ahead of Ruto to prepare for the upcoming State visit.
Ruto quickly delivered his speech, announcing to the audience that he had plans to host Polish President Andrzej Duda at the State House in Nairobi.
The anticipated discussion between the two leaders was set to revolve around a project worth Ksh8 billion aimed at enhancing the prospects of dairy farmers in the region.
“We are heading to Japan because we have a program valued at $1 billion (Ksh160 billion) and Japan is helping us and we must plan properly,” he stated.
“Today, we have a Polish President coming to Kenya and we have a program of Ksh8 billion centering around dairy which we will complete between today and tomorrow.”
He disclosed that he successfully secured payment of Ksh1 billion for farmers in the privatization agreement of the sugar millers. This marked an increase of Ksh400 million from the majority’s initial proposal of Ksh600 million.
