Revealing the Untold Conversation Between Former Kenya President Uhuru Kenyatta and Tinubu Just 48 Hours Before Handover

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the incoming President of Nigeria, has been challenged to build a prosperous nation that is inclusive of all Nigerians, irrespective of their religious beliefs, political leanings, or ethnic backgrounds.

This information was shared by the former leader of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta, during his keynote address at the Inauguration lecture held in Abuja on Saturday by the Presidential Transition Council (PTC).

Kenyatta attributed the leadership crisis in Africa to detrimental ethnic divisions. Religious intolerance, and economic selfishness in a speech he gave titled “Deepening Democracy for Integration and Development.”

To quote him directly: “The competition is now over, and the difficult work of building a prosperous and unified Nigeria now begins.” In his words, “Upon assuming the office of President, you would be wise to transcend from the tactical politics of an election and assume your role as Nigeria’s vision bearer.” This was his advice to Buhari as he prepared to take office.

In addition, Kenyatta urged Tinubu to surround himself with people who challenge his viewpoints. And to extend his hand of fellowship to those who may hold grievances to forge a more robust nation through collaboration. Tinubu was a member of Kenyatta’s inner circle.

In the address that was given on the President-elect’s behalf by the Vice President-elect, Senator Kashim Shettima. The opportunity was taken advantage of. For the President-elect to call on all Nigerians to work together with the incoming administration to create a better nation.

Tinubu reaffirmed his dedication to the principles of democracy, arguing that it is the superior system of government.
