Raila: Why I’m Not Going to Be Very Active in Kenyan Politics (Video)
Raila Odinga, the leader of Azimio la Umoja, has declared that he will be reducing his involvement in Kenyan politics from now on.
During a joint press conference with Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi on Wednesday, August 21, the former Prime Minister revealed that his focus will shift towards his campaign for the African Union Commission (AUC) chairperson position.
Odinga explained that this marks a transition from his active role in Kenyan politics to a new focus on continental African affairs.
โAt the moment, I am involved in the campaigns but that does not mean that Kenya ceases to exist. I am not going to be very active in Kenyan politics henceforth, as I continue to focus my attention on the continental campaign.
โIt is a transitional phase from active participation in Kenyans to moving towards African continental politics,โ Raila remarked.ย
